Not the meadows, but the village square in front of your door! The convenience of being able to do your shopping in the pleasant village, but the sturdy look of a farmhouse.
You enter into a spacious hall. To the left is a spacious kitchen. There is a sink cabinet, but that’s about it. The kitchen is definitely ready for modernisation. Next to the entrance and beneath the window you will find authentic niches with panel doors. At the rear, in front of the doors is enough space for a large dining table. On the other side of the hallway is the living room. This room has double doors at the front. There is still an old fireplace. In the hallway is a separate toilet.
On the first floor is a landing that gives access to two good bedrooms, both with a small dormer. Both bedrooms have access to a very dated bathroom with toilet and sink. There is a third small room where now the boiler is installed. The bathroom is not finished. There is a shower and toilet and a corner for the washing machine.
Beside the house is a barn. On the side former animal shelters are built against it. A good shelter for firewood perhaps. The plot covers 1540 square meters and is situated around the house. At the front it would be possible to make several terraces. This area is facing south. On either side are several trees that provide shelter. To the side there is a plot that probably used to be the vegetable garden. Also at the back is another small (flat) garden. All this will require little maintenance.
Although you are opposite the market square, a stone wall and gate and the fact that the house is slightly elevated, will ensure your privacy. It certainly will be busy in front of your front door when a party is being held, or if it’s a market day. But this is only a few times a year and it is precisely the charm of this house and its location!
The house is dated and needs your attention at various aspects. But no major renovations are needed. The house is habitable and you can upgrade in phases. Meanwhile, enjoy the French village life!
