The furthermost department of Burgundy, with Chalon sur Saone as its main city, and Macon as its capital. Loved because of its Rivers and canals and the many cycle routes along them. A wide variety of landscpapes: The fertile Bresse plain to the east, the wine hills in the middle, and rolling country side with charollais cows to the west.
The buildings are part of the heart of this village, situated amongst the church and the town hall. Once three village houses, which the present owner has developed into two.
The smaller one to one end, has a cellar of 70m2, a ground floor of 40m2, and top floor under the beautiful beams with 24m2. The top floor has the start of a shower room with toilet. the cellar is larger than the ground floor, as it runs under the terrace to the back of this house. the owner wanted to make this is "living quarters" while he finished the other larger property. but can also be considered as a small character one bedroom house (63m2) when finished.
The middle and far right property are now joined, offering on ground level 125m2!, this can be developed over two more floors. The roof was also done new here. the roof tiles are the typical small burgundy 'flat" tiles. The roof windows ( Velux ) are new, but the windows on the walls need to be replaced. The main door is new.
Under the main house there are several intercommunicating vaulted cellars.
