The furthermost department of Burgundy, with Chalon sur Saone as its main city, and Macon as its capital. Loved because of its Rivers and canals and the many cycle routes along them. A wide variety of landscpapes: The fertile Bresse plain to the east, the wine hills in the middle, and rolling country side with charollais cows to the west.
The main house has retained its old character with high beamed ceilings, fireplaces and Burgundy flagstones. Enter at courtyard level into the large central living room. On one side is an equal sized salon, alternatively a grand bedroom, and a hallway leading to 2 single bedrooms, each with a fitted wardrobe and private bathroom. To the other side of the living room is a dining room with fitted kitchen, a separate utility room and a hallway with stairs leading to the first floor.
