The furthermost department of Burgundy, with Chalon sur Saone as its main city, and Macon as its capital. Loved because of its Rivers and canals and the many cycle routes along them. A wide variety of landscpapes: The fertile Bresse plain to the east, the wine hills in the middle, and rolling country side with charollais cows to the west.

Remigny is a canal side hamlet, just a few kilometers outside Chagny and 15 minutes south of Beaune. The house borders to the back the canal du centre with cycles and barges coming by. The house from the 80's is built on a basement, with two bedrooms on garden level and two bedrooms upstairs.

The house is some distance from the road up the 4150m2 plot, access to the garden is via electric gates. Trees to one side. As the house is higher than the road, there are views of wine hills on the santenay hills. To the back, accessed via little gate, the canal du centre and its cycle highway, called la "Voie verte". The owner until some years back has run a bed and breakfast for tourists wanting to explore the area by bicycle.
