The big event

As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, we are ready when you are to start looking for your dream property, and for our clients who wish to sell their property, we are now restarting onsite valuations and visits.

Open for business

At the time of publishing, many EU countries are allowing greater freedom of movement. Here in France, 15th June is a key date when the borders will open, allowing neighbouring countries like Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to once again consider travelling into France. However, certain restrictions still exist in terms of people travelling from the UK, although this is being reappraised on a three-week cycle.
The safety of our clients (buyers and sellers) and our own staff is of paramount importance. And so, there are a few things we have put in place to help ensure that we all maintain hygiene, social distancing and protection when visiting.
Most importantly, where the agent, seller or prospective buyer or their family members are experiencing possible symptoms of Covid-19, the proposed visit will be cancelled. And, you must inform us before the visit is scheduled if you are feeling unwell. If you are in any doubt, there are a lot of official health websites that list the symptoms commonly observed in Covid-19 patients.
It’s important to respect social distancing and therefore the number of people attending a property visit will be limited to a maximum of two people plus the agent. Please note that we cannot do family visits to properties at this time.
Masks must be worn by everyone during the visit (unfortunately, we cannot supply these) and hygiene must be maintained by washing/sanitising hands before (and after) the visit.
The prospective buyers must stay with the agent during the whole guided tour of the property and they should avoid touching any surfaces.
To help with controlling the spread of the virus, customers are requested to advise the agency if they subsequently develop symptoms of Covid-19 within two weeks of the property visit. Neither the vendor nor the agency will accept any liability for the state of health of prospective buyers should Covid-19 symptoms develop following their visit.
These are unusual times and we are sure you will appreciate why we have put this policy in place. Our team of property specialists are committed to supporting you and ensuring both an enjoyable and safe visit.
STAY SAFE & BE WELL.
